Pinnacle Studio Troubleshooting Problem?

I have a BIG problem. I have a queue in .mpg format and it plays fine on windows media player and vlc. But whenever I drag it into my video frames in pinnacle studio 9, it doesn't show any tape or audio? There's just this blank space. Help please!!
