How does the Britax infant car seat compare to others?

I just had my third nurse boy and need to purchase a new car seat. I think I want to get the Britax from target because of the side impact feature. I'm just wondering how other parents handle about it. Thanks in advance.

I have the Marathon for my boy (6 months old). I love it. I didn't transfer him into it until a month ago, because he was still relapse asleep in the carseat and it was just easier to carry the whole seat rather than wake him up. But now, we love it!!!! He seems naturally comfortable and it was pretty easy to install. I went to a police carseat check to make sure I had it in prerogative... but it was really easy to do. I'd definitely recommend this seat to anyone.

What's great about the Britax seats is that they have a steel fabricate under the plastic and the others just have a plastic frame. I don't know that I'd buy an infant seat at all and go with the convertible seat--they're in it for longer and you don't have to lug it around with a 15 lb mollycoddle inside. I'd go with a convertible Britax seat like the Marathon which holds baby in a 5 pt harness to 65 lbs.

We have 2 Marathons and Adore them! We also have an Evenflo Titan that is crap. I hate that thing. The Britax lasts longer than traditional 40lbs seats. DD is still rearfacing at age 3 and will be expert to sit forward facing for quite some time. It is easier to install, easier to use and much more comfortable. britax careseats
