Will the aloof model CXC5719 work with my Pioneer head unit model DEHP6500?

I just purchased model CXC5719 model remote for my (car's) Pioneer head package DEHP6500 from ebay. The auction says the remote is compatible with almost all Pioneer head units; however, I have not been able to authenticate that it is compatible with my head unit. Is anyone experienced with car audio and can give me a straight answer?
